Mari Isopahkala has won the international jewelry design competition "The Next Episode" with the jewelry set "PISARA".
"The first price of the Lapponia international jewelry design competition 2010 is awarded to Mari Isopahkala, Finland.
Her Design clearly stood out from the start as a very promissing sketch of a challenging yet delicate composition which was followed by its even more impressive realization as expressive, fluid-like pieces of jewelry with high design value.
The set introduces sophisticated solutions ans has a great potential in terms of varifying and extending the concept further. The silver surfaces are seemingly simple but have a new esthetic effect. The outcome was the most complete in the competition - combining inspiration, a theme and name, eshetics and solutions into a beautifully finished composition."

The winning pieces are being exhibited in Lapponia anniversary exhibition in Europe and Japan during 2010.
